One star is one star too many for this book. Please readers, do not waste your $.99! What a horrific travesty this person, Bridget Midway, who by the way is portraying herself as an author, has perpetuated against readers across the nation. Lawd, please do not let this trash cross international borders. Any person having had any lucidity while trying to read this looney tune surely has had it ripped away by the time they struggled to 3%. This story is that bad!The main characters, upon moving into a new neighborhood, are greeted by their neighbors having sex in their driveway, before leaving for work. This amps the leading h and h so much that they perform their own sexual rendition in their kitchen. Just as their less than stellar sexual encounter is ending - Lo and behold - who appears as an unwanted voyeuristic entity into their home - the female part of of the null and void erotic couple that were responsible for their very own non interesting lust filled coupling. Shucks!!! You cannot make this crap up if you tried. But apparently Ms. Midway found a way!! God help us!!! The new neighbor invited them to have dinner - with a "no" being unacceptable. Once arriving next door for dinner we are introduced to the sexually deviant supporting cast members - and what doozy they all are! Within approximately 1 hour after meeting we find them we have a full fledged orgy taking place in the hosts living room - or was it the den? No matter where, it did not add anything to the storyline. Let me continue. One couple, whose husband is the weaker link in their liaison is giving her a good ole vajayjay home grown lick down. The host couple and the male dominant of the other couple is feeling up and fingering his wife! This all happens within 15 minutes of this beginning of this tale.
The sex scenes leave a WHOE LOT TO BE DESIRED.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS AUTHORS RENDITION OF WHAT SHE DEEMS WRIITING TO EARN A LIVING!

First off, if the storyline does not turn you off, the formatting of this non illustrious tale surely will. From the very first paragraph you know there is definitely a problem in Houston! A big one!! You see this, dare I say author, found a way to turn you off before even presenting this crapola. The paragraphs begin with a sentence, but the ending sentence in the paragraph just becomes a hanging participle. Then to top off the formatting confusion, she seems to have cut and paste certain sections to parts of the story that had nothing to do with the continuity or transition of the storyline.
At 11% of this ebook, I could no longer prolong the torture!!! I skipped to the end. Lo and behold, Ms. Bridget Midway did not find a way to make me love her!! She transcended over the Twilight Zone to bring you further into "Alice in Wonderland's World". Total lunacy to the forefront.
It appears that the couple starting in this convoluted tale not only got married, but managed to become pregnant. They spent their honeymoon on a Fiji island having an, dare I form my lips to say, romantic free for all with the entire crazy cast of sexual deviants, in a hot tub! Told you - you couldn't make this ish up if you tried. But, again, Ms Bridget Midway did. Read at your own peril! But I sincerely pray that this review will forgo the pollution of your minds from this burn out author!! I deleted permanently from my iPad - hoping it did not infect it!!! I most certainly did not read the same book that the givers of 5 star reviewers did! Surely, one of us is lying!!!

The novel started out interesting when Zora and Grant witnessed a neighbor receiving special attention from his wife. I thought it would be a good read but it turned out to be one sexfest after another. Beyond the constant copulation, generally, when you read books with contemporary themes you tend to think that the situations involved can be applied in real life but this wasn't the case with this book. There were too many regulations among the group that most couples would not accept or adhere to under any circumstances. Further, the "lead" female in the book was entirely too passive. It was like this couple had been served up as a couple of turkeys in a neighborhood that celebrated Thanksgiving everyday...and Zora accepted it completely. I liked Grant because he seemed to have his feet more solidly planted. He had a healthy amount of uncertainty that individuals normally have when they are introduced to new people and new surroundings. It is unfortunate that this novel was centered so much around a neighborhood orgy rather than character development because it had the potential to be a very good book. This was the reason I gave it three stars instead of two.
I wanted to like this story but was more ANNOYED than hot. I'm no prude and liked the idea of a swingers book. However some of the characters REALLY ANNOYED me. Not allowing doors to be locked was stupid. I hated how Zora had no spine or respect for herself. She let the crazy but hot neighbors tell her what to eat, what to wear, how handle work problems and even what sexual protection to use with her man . Then got upset with Grant for forgetting a rule. If that wasn't sad enough, she then practically begged these neighbors to take her back. Zora had NO pride for herself. Swinging is one thing but having those swingers control her life is another. I almost hoped Grant would leave her with the crazies and find a better woman. Hot sex but bad characters.
First, let me say that I haven't read any of the previous reviews for this book so I'm uncertain if this was mentioned. Ms. Midway, please please PLEASE upload a better version of this story to . I don't know if it was a bad download but the formatting was awful. There was a lack of spacing between paragraphs in addition to missing words, which made sentences incomplete. I found myself re-reading passages with a great deal of confusion. I hope it was simply due to formatting complications and not a lack of editing. These things really put me off from the book because I like a seamless reading experience, but I tried my best not to let that taint my review.
This was my first time reading Ms. Midway's work. She was a featured author in an online book club I belong to. Fascination Street was a recommended read so, I read the synopsis and purchased it. The premise isn't for the faint of heart. If you're not into the idea of interracial swingers, you should bypass this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between Zora and Grant. I thought they were a perfect fit. An open minded IR couple (biracial woman/white man) simply looking to add a little zing to their relationship. I found myself laughing out loud at their neighbor's unusual names Winta Forrest, Brax, Lynia, Garland... too funny. Names absolutely made for the porn industry.
Overall, this was a 3.5 star read for me based on the premise and the characters... so I went with a 4 star rating. Aside from the formatting issues, I was irritated with Zora towards the latter part of the book. Not to spoil what happens but the way she treated Grant and reacted was ridiculous. Ridiculous! I was screaming at my , "Girl get your life and get a grip!"
LOL if an author can invoke a range of emotions in a reader, their job is done. Great work Ms. Midway, I look forward to reading more of your books.
